Columns is a series of sculptural furniture pieces inspired by basalt rock formations and the symmetrical hexagonal columns found in nature. Each modular element is unique and can be combined to create tables of various sizes or used individually as a side table or stool. Fabricated from sustainably sourced fir, each piece undergoes a process in which the wood is first charred and brushed to reveal its natural grain before being finished with a stain and natural oil. This technique emphasizes the material's unique character, allowing the grain to emerge as a subtle yet distinctive pattern across the surface of every piece.
